hey everyone
as of 10/30/07 I'm on the transplant list, they have me listed as a 1b, which means second priority, this is ok many people get their hearts at this listing. They plan to keep me in the hospital for at least 10 more days hoping to find a heart. After that a new plan depending on the condition of my heart will be decided.
After surgury I'll be in the hospital for two weeks. Then they will move me to a motel next door for a couple of weeks.

I think they are going to move me from ccu today, that will be nice.

Deb I'll have to check with the girls for thier e-mail address see u weds.

Love you all Gordy

Hey everyone,

Looks like they are going to put me on the transplant list. I've been through allot the last couple of weeks and learned allot about my body and the condition it is in. I'm a little angry at myself for nor pursuing medical issues that could have prevented my heart attack. I found out that i have a blocked artery above my left leg, I went to the doctor a couple years ago with trouble in my leg and hip. it appears that I have what they call PAD, Pulmonary artery disease. The doctor thought it was a musle issue, but not so much. I didnt persue it. Hoping it would just go away but it didnt. So the moral of the story Dont believe everything your doctor tells you, Your own body is the best idicater of how u feel. Make your doctors do thier job, dont let issues go, find out whats wrong. Also for what it matters I truly believe that my vascular problems comes mostly from smoking.

Ill let u know more when i get more info about the transplant, Love u all Gordy
Hi Kim, Gordy, Tom, Mom & Dad,
This is a good way to communicate with Gordy via the "Updates on Gordy".

Gordy can post information on how he is doing each day. Then we can post comments back to him. This has been restricted to only us so far. No one else can view this blog unless they are invited by me. If there is anyone else you would like added such as family and friends, just let me know their email address and I can send them an invite.

Talk to you all soon.
Deb
